Red Bulletin – The World of 2.0 Red Bull

Being part of the Red Bull Team gives you wings…

… and a lot of nice free items, like for instance the Red Bulletin. This is not the cover from this month but I preferred this picture, you can guess why.

The Red Bulletin is an independent magazine that started as an independent Formula1 day to day magazine (3 days magazine:”practice runs, qualifications and raceday”) and has now grown into the monthly magazine of the World Of Red Bull.

All over the globe they are spreading the Red Bulletin (different countries with different target areas and different covers) and also the Red Bull News and the news about the Red Bull Athletes. I just finished drinking a Corona, also one of my favorite brands when it comes down to marketing, when somebody handed me a Red Bulletin. He said: Look at it, it says it’s printed 2.0. haha 2.0 I said.

Well actually it does interact with the web 2.0. So the web is indeed evolving. At Red Bull they are taking 2.0 very seriously.

Now what you do is you take your magazine and surf to en.redbulletin.com/print2.0 and allow the webcam to turn on and process data.

The webpage & webcam will see that you are in fact holding up the page that is 2.0 and a little movie clip will start playing. It’s actually pretty cool. Now you can see how the photo has been taking and see extra footage off the Red Bull Athlete.

I looked at  it and remembered the campaign from Red Bull with Lindsey Vonn. If you bought a 6-pack you could hold it up in front of your webcam and their would start a movie about the life or the Red Bull World of Lindsey Vonn.

Nice marketing and nice product placement. Now you can read a magazine and have that little extra.
